The final level of AAT testing is level 4, and this is the highest level a student can achieve. This is the equivalent of a professional degree in accounting, and will typically involve a more detailed study of both accounting theory and practice. This will involve passing examinations covering everything from the international fiscal standard to the internal revenue service, and the International Organization for Standardization ( ISO). You will probably also have to write an exam for a test that will evaluate your understanding of the concepts covered by the four core subjects in accounting, namely balance of trade, income, expenses and ownership.
There are a number of ways to earn your AAT advance level four certification, including online learning, or via the traditional classroom. There are also a number of distance education opportunities available, including those run by companies who are accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
